How many cups of tea can I drink a day?

Is there a maximum number of cups of tea you shouldn’t drink in a day?
As theine is mainly found in tea buds, the more buds a tea contains, the higher its theine content and, consequently, the more energising it will be. Thus, a Grand Cru made from a fine pluck (the bud and the first two leaves) will contain far more theine than a flavoured tea, which contains fewer buds. Contrary to popular belief, green tea does not necessarily contain more theine than black or white tea. Finally, rooibos and herbal teas contain no theine at all and can therefore be enjoyed throughout the day
The tannins in tea can inhibit iron absorption, particularly plant-based iron (from lentils, broccoli, etc.). Therefore, the higher the tannin content in the tea, the harder it is for the body to absorb the iron. However, there is a fairly simple solution to significantly reduce this effect: avoid drinking tea at mealtimes! Just one hour after a meal, the iron-inhibiting effect is significantly reduced.
